Brain Enrichment and Empowerment Program (BEEP) is a brain educational program for developing the unrealized human abilities to accomplish physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual well being, optimise performance through the effective synchronisation of the left and right brain. The minute we shatter our own pre-set limitations we are acquainted with our true inherent potential, the power of which we do not realize. The brain is the power source of all energies transmitted to various organs. When we tap this infinite source of energy we can harness and master our various abilities to the fullest.
Very often the brain is perceived in terms of its logical and cognitive functions as reading, writing, speech, mathematical ability, analytics and problem solving ability. However, the brain guides all our activities–from breathing and muscle movement to sensations and emotions regulations. The brain is a seat of consciousness which is responsible for controlling and regulating the entire human body. It is the origin and the fundamental common denominator for all humankind. It is the data bank of human body containing human history, behavior and experience, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender or any other identity boundaries. To authenticate this reality, Brain Education aims to enfold the best in the human spirit and essential commonalities entailed by all, through improving self-management, communication and productivity. Brain Education a terminology frequently used to is a modern revision of the traditional Eastern mind and body training integrated with neuroscientific findings. The BEEP approach is empirical and based on carefully crafted methodologies. As it centers on the belief that human beings by nature possess special ability circuits, however one cannot utilize these circuits unless one has the awareness and understanding so are left dormant. Once we awaken to this ability we will be totally transformed. The BEEP process comprises of meticulously designed physical, emotional and cognitive exercises, different bodily postures, breathing techniques, guided imagery and activities designed to improve sensory awareness, motor control and balance, emotional regulation, attention-concentration, imagination and creativity.
Brain Education recognizes that wellbeing requires appropriate and integrated activity of all of our functions: from cognitive processing to breathing and muscle movement to sensations and emotions. To accomplish integrated brain functioning, BE begins on a foundation of physical health, focused on the proper function of the autonomic, motor and sensory systems. The autonomic system coordinates breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and the immune system. Evidence suggests that balanced activity of the sympathetic (“fight or flight”) and parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) systems is essential for both physical and emotional well-being. The stress of modern life often throws these systems out of balance. BE includes abdominal breathing, endurance training, and specific postures which are designed to stimulate healthy, dynamic, and balanced functioning of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. The motor system coordinates movement and balance. Physical exercise increases brain blood flow, the growth of cerebral blood vessels and increased levels of neurotransmitter and synapse development. Physical exercise also promotes emotional well-being and a greater sense of self-efficacy. BE emphasizes physical conditioning and coordination as the cornerstones of health, self-confidence, emotional well-being, and achievement. The sensory system receives information both from the outside world and the body itself. Neuroscientists have shown that awareness of the body is necessary for emotional functioning, and emotional connection is necessary for higher judgment and executive powers. Therefore, the traditional distinctions between mind and body, and between thinking and feeling, are misguided. BE develops sensory and emotional awareness to promote effective higher executive functioning.
There are five essential steps in Brain Education. All of the steps are informed by principles of brain function as illuminated through neuroscience. Practicing Brain Education consistently results in improved concentration, greater creative power, and increased empathy and cooperative spirit. Ultimately, the steps lead you to a sense of authorship over the workings of your brain.
